Beyond the World

Ion Deaconescu · ROMANIA (1947)

The poet will never forget
the roots of fire
nor the light of the word.
His eyes, widened with wonder,
see beyond the world
behind the restlessness of dawn.
At the shore of his heart,
stranded in eternity.
