Founded in 2008 as a Spanish sister foundation of the Belgian publishing house POINT Editions,<\/p>\n
founded in 1984, the cultural foundation ITHACA has rapidly built up an international fame as<\/p>\n
organizer of multilingual poetry recitals, splendid music performances and exhibitions of paintings<\/p>\n
by excellent artists, receiving offers by national and international artists, interested in cooperation.<\/p>\n
The foundation cooperates with several cultural centres and Universities, but The Poetic Evening<\/p>\n
Concerts of Ithaca, yearly organized at the seat of the foundation in Altea (Alicante), Spain, are its<\/p>\n

The objective of the Foundation ITHACA is to be a cultural bridge for Spanish artists, poets and<\/p>\n
musicians to other countries and vice versa. The Foundation organized already several cultural<\/p>\n
activities in Spain, concerts, poetry readings and exhibitions of paintings and sculptures by well-<\/p>\n
known Spanish and foreign artists<\/p>\n

the world famous Indian artist Satish Gupta, by the Belgian artists Frans Minnaert, Roland<\/p>\n
Monteyne, Felix Roulin and Yves Rhay\u00e9. By the German: Siegfried Reich an der Stolpe, by the<\/p>\n
English Allan Smallwood, by the Spanish Luis Pla, Riera I Arag\u00f3 and Fernando de Quir\u00f3z, by the<\/p>\n
Chilean V\u00edctor Ram\u00edrez, the Brazilian Gra\u00e7a Marquez, the Chinese Lo Ch\u2019ing and Wang Lee from<\/p>\n

Spanish composer Valent\u00edn Bielsa, as well as several books, including \u201dLa jota en la comarca de la<\/p>\n
Sierra de Segura\u201d and \u201cCancionero de la Sierra de Segura\u201d by Marina Garc\u00eda Jim\u00e9nez.<\/p>\n
Cultural cooperation: the foundation cooperated with the Liceo Po\u00e9tico de Benidorm to organize a<\/p>\n
homage to the late Uruguayan poet Mario Benedetti, with Denia Classics, with the Curso &<\/p>\n
Concurso Internacional de M\u00fasica de Benidorm, with the Jornades de Guitarra \u201cCiutat de D\u00e9nia\u201d,<\/p>\n
organized in Altea a Gala to support the humanitarian organisation Visi\u00f3 Sense Fronteres. Organized<\/p>\n
