Poetic New Year Wishes, Prayer

Happy and Peaceful New Year

Prayer

May my mind
be as pure
as this moment
of sunshine and blackbird’s voice
unconcerned about
– why
to which other answer fails
but what she in a multiple
of leaves and colours can offer:
the rose.
